Midwest Basket Guild was founded in 1998 as The Iowa Basketmakers Guild. Their mission is to foster appreciation for traditional American basketry. The guild serves the Tri-state area of Iowa, Illinois & Wisconsin. Members gather monthly to share ideas and maintain interest in the craft. Together they pursue opportunities to educate and to promote basketry in the community.
They meet at various
locations, usually on the 3rd Saturday of the
Come and Join
in the BasketMakers
Forum. Lots of friendly basketweavers are gathered there. Click
