Fibers Through Time 2010
April 15-18, 2010. The Arizona Federation of Weavers and Spinners Guild will
be hosting their sixth biannual conference in Phoenix, AZ. The name of the
conference will be "Fibers Through Time 2010" and the theme is "Fiber Odyssey."
Proposals are being sought for workshops in various types of weaving, spinning,
basketry, gourd art, beading, and other fiber related fields. Proposals are due
no later than May 30, 2009.
Gibsons Landing Fibre Arts Festival 2010 - Call for Instructors
Workshop dates August 2010. Seeking instructors with proven teaching
skills as well as expertise in fibre arts techniques. Workshops may range from
one to three days long. Workshops requiring four days should be proposed as two
2-day workshops. Deadline for submission of all proposals is September 30, 2009.
The Conference of Northern
California Handweavers (CNCH) is accepting teaching proposals for the
2010 conference to be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center, San Jose, CA,

Center - Mendocino, CA
An educational, exhibition and resource center for the visual and performing
arts located 150 miles north of San Francisco in the quiet coastal village of
Mendocino, California.
Teaching opportunities are available in addition to the chance to learn

Basketmakers Gathering
The Northeast Basketmakers Guild holds a basketry event annually. The NBG accepts proposals from teachers for 4, 6, 8 and 12 hour
classes. Classes are scheduled to begin Friday afternoon and end Sunday noon.

Mountains Folk School - Call for Instructors
The School is run by the Friends of the Porkies in cooperation with the
Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon, MI. Porcupine Mountains
Wilderness State Park is located on the southern shore of Lake Superior in the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They sponsor workshops in tune with their natural

Weavers' Guilds Conference
The Association of Northwest Weavers'
Guilds hosts periodic conferences and other events. Watch their events

Association of Southern California Handweavers
The association has evolved over the years to include, not only
handweavers, but
many other fiber artists including spinners, basket makers, lace makers, felt makers, and
dyers. It is routine for them to seek teaching proposals from instructors
qualified to teach workshops in fiber art topics.

2009 Northeast Basketmakers Gathering - Call for Teaching Proposals
The Northeast Basketmakers Guild will be holding its sixth basketry event,
“Northeast Basketmakers Gathering 2009”, April 17-19, 2009 at the Clarion Hotel
and Conference Center in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Basketmaking workshop
proposals are being sought from basketry instructors. Baskets and proposals must

2008 Weaving Odyssey - Central Pennsylvania Basket Weavers’ Guild
Call for teaching proposals for a three day conference to be held September
19, 20, 21, 2008 in Chambersburg, PA.

HGA Convergence 2008 Leaders
Handweaver's Guild of America's Convergence 2008 will be held June 22
through June 28, 2008, in Tampa Bay, Florida. It will be hosted by the Florida
Tropical Weavers Guild (FTWG). They invite leaders to send proposals for
three-day workshops, one-day studio classes and two-hour seminars for basketry
and other fiber programs. Proposals are due September 30, 2006.
